Time Capsule

This project is a metaphorical reflection of our lives and present times. The structure takes the form of an hourglass deconstructed to look fragile and broken. Engraved on either end of the hourglass is a sundial and moon dial. This is a representation of how things do not always go as planned and can lead to utter chaos in our lives or in society. The flowers are made of paper ripped out from a book about human development. It symbolizes that things will eventually get better over time. The support beam in the center is a reflection of the support one receives from friends and family. The blooming of the flowers is meant to show how things will get better even if it does not appear that way at the present moment.
